FAQ

About Ava Diamonds

What Gives Ava Diamonds an Advantage Over Other Diamond B2B Providers?

The answer is multi-faceted. We at Ava Diamonds are responsible for the manufacturing of our own diamonds from start to finish, and specialize in side stones and matching diamond layouts and sets. From Antique Cuts to Complex Side Stone Shapes like the Calf Cut for example require decades of experience.

On top of that, our large inventory and the fact that no middle man is involved significantly reduces the markup of our diamonds.

Where Are You Located?

We are situated right in the heart of Charlotte NC, but serve customers both in and out of the US. We are located at  5950 Fairview Rd, Charlotte, NC 28210

Our Diamonds

I couldn’t find what I was looking for, do you offer custom make diamonds?

Not only do we offer that as a service, but it is actually one of our specialities and the advantage of our own in house manufacturing facilities and access to the rough material. No matter how unique and complex your custom request may be, we at Ava Diamonds will be able to deliver it based on your specific criteria. We specialize in providing unique diamond programs such as our calibrated diamond layouts and matching diamond pairs which are especially ideal for jewellers and wholesalers. The process takes approximately 3 weeks in order to fulfil your order to the highest degree of accuracy and the fact we do it from start to finish.

Do you provide Antique or Vintage Diamond Cuts?

As a matter of fact, we do, some of them are even included in our unique diamond programs. From Old Cushion Cut (or old mine cut) Diamonds to Carre Cut Diamonds, we have a wide selection that is unrivalled in both our competitive pricing and quality standards.

What Should I Choose, a Brilliant Cut or a Step Cut Diamond?

We are often asked which type of cutting method we recommend, either the Step Cut or Brilliant Cut. The answer depends heavily on personal preferences, as well as the shape you’re looking for.

The Brilliant Cut method is the modern version of diamond cutting and manufacturing with the goal of achieving maximum brilliance, hence its name. Step Cuts on the other hand are more old fashioned and showcase square, rectangular and geometric shapes that have step like facets. Step cuts do not showcase brilliance but have quite a lot of fire, and stunning hall of mirror effects. They are perfect for vintage and art deco designs and tastes, while brilliant cuts are ideal for modern designs and love of brilliance and light display.

Brilliant Cuts Include Round, Princess, Marquise, Pear, Hearts, among other cuts.

Step Cuts Include Emerald, Asscher, Carre, Baguettes, Carre, and many more.

I’m Under a Strict Budget, do I have to Settle on Size or Quality?

Not necessarily. Our diverse inventory of diamonds that are both unique and visually stunning, yet not as mainstream as let’s say the Brilliant Round Cut is, does not just provide a significant reduction in cost, it is also a way to differentiate your diamond and stand out.
